This week, Dsolve is on an expedition with the Norwegian Directorate of Fisheries to retrieve and document ghost fishing and marine litter caused by fishing activities. This knowledge is crucial for developing and implementing new biodegradable materials in fishing gear. The expedition is a collaboration between Dsolve, UiT The Arctic University of Norway, and the Directorate of Fisheries, taking place on UiT's research vessel FF Helmer Hanssen. Researchers from several of the project partners, NORSUS, SINTEF, and Norner AS, are on board.
