Sintef researcher Jørgen Vollstad met with fishermen and key industry representatives to showcase biodegradable fishing gear at the Annual Meeting of Norges Råfisklag this week.
Jørgen Vollstad, who leads Sintef’s work on testing biodegradable fishing gear at sea, showcased material samples — including biodegradable gillnets — and shared insights into the latest research developments and hands-on experiences from field trials. The audience showed strong interest in the development of new fishing gear solutions, contributing valuable feedback and insightful questions to the ongoing project.
